Overview

CAD Software Feature Design. Audio Engineer. Sound Designer. AV System Integrator.

 

The Audio Product Planner will work to develop and enhance new features for the Vectorworks Entertainment Product using their industry skills and experience. This is a collaborative position with our engineering, marketing entertainment, and executive teams.

 

You are familiar with the digital world of audio. You have designed large complex sound system installations and understand what goes into the planning of these projects. You were in charge of projects and may have led other team members.

Responsibilities

You will make an impact by:

 

  • Learning and understanding Vectorworks software and its usability for/impact on audio designers.
  • Researching the AV/Video install industry for potential new feature development.
  • Collaborating with the engineering and entertainment marketing teams on new feature development.
  • Developing new feature plans and creating documentation for engineering builds.
  • Collaborating with marketing on how to present new features to new users.
  • Making product presentations to audiences in the industry.

Qualifications

About you:

 

  • Design/Technology related degrees and/or Audio certifications (for example Certified Audio Engineer, CEA) preferred
  • 5-7+ years combined experience working as an Audio Engineer/Designer or AV System Integrator
  • Experience with CAD software and specialized Audio systems software
  • Deep understanding of the roles of Audio professionals in live events industry
  • Experience in a wide variety of audio project sizes and budgets
  • Experience with the competitive landscape of the Audio industry
  • Ability to articulate in writing requirements for audio workflows whether through existing technology or connections to partner technologies
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for user experience
  • An insatiable desire to conduct both marketplace and customer research to aid in planning of cutting-edge software for the Audio market
  • A desire and commitment to quality control – ensuring that what is delivered meets the expectations of the plan

 

Extra Credit:

 

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science in Audio Engineering/Design
  • Experience with L-ISA acoustics software such as: Soundvision, LA Network Manager, L-ISA Studio, and/or L-ISA Controller
  • Experience with D&B audiotechnik products such as: Array Calc, R1, Soundscape, JBL Line Array Calculator, EAW Resolution, and/or EAW Mosaic
  • Experience with AFMG products such as: EASE, SoundFlow, Focus, Reflex, EASERA, SysTune and/or Address.
