You’re a detailed oriented solution finder who enjoys reviewing and processing AR transactions. You possess a customer service outlook, analytical, administrative, and planning skills. When you join Vectorworks, Inc., you will collaborate with an international accounting team of professionals, and will report to the senior accounting manager to support the overall success of the company. The AR Accounting Specialist is responsible for Accounts Receivable transactions in preparation for data entry and reconciling, as well as the research and resolution of internal and external customer inquiries.

You will make an impact by:

• Retrieve all incoming payments from bank each day and process, including lockbox deposits.
• Apply customer payments (receipts, credits, remote warehouse).
• Research and solve payment discrepancies.
• Process credit card payments and credits - STRIPE.
• Collection for all accounts receivables.
• Make adjustment to accounts as needed.
• Prepare daily manual deposits.
• Answers all customer inquiries.
• Maintains all receivable reports, and spreadsheets.
• Reconcile assigned GL accounts monthl.
• Monitor Sales Tax and assists when required.
• Monitor and coordinate chargebacks.
• Assists in monthly closings.
• Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
• Performs filing.
• IRS Form 8802 Certificate of residency annually.
• Run monthly AR statements.
• Process write-offs as required.
  
• Help assist with AP task as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

About you:

• An Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
  
• 2 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks.
• Quality control: demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality and applies feedback to improve performance.
• Ability to maintain positive contacts within all levels of the organization to explain and interpret information or ideas and follow up on customer requests.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
