When you join Vectorworks, Inc., you’ll work collaboratively with our Customer Success team to support our customers’ needs and questions with extensive product knowledge and outstanding customer service skills. The CAD (design) Technical Support Specialist may also be called upon to provide in-person training and product demonstrations.

Responsibilities

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Providing CAD help desk support to end users on a variety of issues
  • Identifying, researching, and resolving end users’ technical problems
  • Responding to telephone calls, e-mail and other requests for CAD (design) technical support
  • Delivering online training to end users and offices
  • Assisting in the creation of content for different marketing materials, illustrations, videos, etc.

Qualifications

About you:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • An Associate’s Degree, preferably in the Computer Sciences, or equivalent technical training and/or work experience
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a technical help desk or customer service environment
  • Ability to deliver effective training and software demonstrations
  • Familiar with support databases and troubleshooting techniques
  • Experience with CAD software is required (Vectorworks preferred)
  • Experience with any graphic software applications is preferred
  • Experience installing and configuring computer hardware and software
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows and Macintosh operation systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Travel to client sites and other company-sponsored events (Approx. 10% travel)

Extra Credit:

  • Experience with design software such as: Adobe Creative Suite/ InDesign/ Illustrator
  • Experience working with Vectorworks software
  • Exposure to two or more CAD software products such as Sketchup, Rhino3D, AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, Bluebeam, MicroStation, or ArcGIS
