Working on the Research team, this remote role will help us advance the core graphics and rendering systems for our leading CAD/BIM package providing enterprising and intuitive solutions to allow designers in over 100 countries around the world to design without limits.


You’ll make an impact by:

  • Building high-quality features and functionalities within demanding deadlines
  • Working collaboratively to conceptualize, implement, and test features to achieve team and department goals
  • Considering users’ best interests when making technical conclusions as software is developed
  • Being instrumental in migrating and modernizing our graphics technologies
  • Helping develop technical connections between Vectorworks and interactive, real-time and AR/VR graphics engines
  • Staying up to date with the latest developments in computer graphics
  • Implementing projects according to design
  • Testing development code
  • Scheduling and track time spent on projects and other tasks
  • Investigating bugs and determine appropriate fixes
  • Peer reviewing code


About You:


  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science
  • 5+ years of graphics and/or rendering experience
  • 3+ years of experience with rendering and shader programming
  • Proficiency with C++
  • Expertise with programming real time rendering engines and shaders
  • Deep knowledge of the graphics pipeline, GPU architecture, advanced lighting, texturing, and rendering techniques
  • Professional experience with several graphical APIs, including: GLSL/HLSL, DirectX, Metal, OpenGL, Vulkan, GLES, and/or WebGL


Extra Credit:

  • Significant use of one or more general-purpose modeling, rendering, and animation packages
