Responsibilities

In this role, you should expect to:

 

  • Build and maintain our data infrastructure
  • Utilize understanding of ETL principles
  • Exhibit a proficiency in Python and AWS analytic stack (especially S3, RDS, RS, EMR, EC2, Lambda)
  • Work closely with engineering and other teams to organize and extract data for analysis

Qualifications

Why do we want you? Because you have:

 

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience developing data pipelines
  • Solid understanding of ETL principles and how to apply them
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and Unix shell
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate across business areas
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment
  • Strong interest in learning and using the latest technologies

 

Extra Credit:

  • Experience with Kibana, Redshift, and Tableau Software
  • Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, ranging from front-end user interface to back-end systems as well as all points in between
  • Experience with distributed computing, NoSQL, and Flask
  • Familiarity with software logging
