Vectorworks, Inc. is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented creative designer to join our Product Marketing team for the fall 2020 internship session. The Entertainment Design Intern will have the opportunity to help create new and interesting visuals and demonstrations to showcase the capabilities of Vectorworks Spotlight to customers and prospects around the world. If you have a passion for design, technology and marketing, and would like to gain CAD software experience, keep reading to learn more about this opportunity!


In this role, you should expect to:


  • Create compelling demonstrations for CAD software
  • Identify benefits Vectorworks Spotlight provides to designers’ workflows
  • Create demonstration files, instructional videos, and images that will be published online and used around the world
  • Collaborate with team members on new projects and ideas
  • Research industry trends


Why do we want you? Because you have:


  • A background in performing arts or technical theatre with a focus in lighting and scenic design, theatre design and technology, marketing or other related disciplines, and a strong interest in pursuing a career in design, theater or marketing.
  • A GPA above 3.0
  • Familiarity with CAD applications
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work with the team to achieve departmental goals
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be willing to submit a portfolio of work samples via PDF or provide a link to preview the portfolio

Extra Credit:


  • Vectorworks knowledge a plus, but not required



Eligibility requirements for internships:


  • Internships requires working a minimum of 16 hours per week with a maximum of 40 hours per week
  • You must be at least 18 years of age, enrolled in an undergraduate program entering your junior or senior year, enrolled in a graduate program, or a recent graduate (no more than 6 months upon graduation)
  • This is a paid internship and compensation will be based on applicant’s qualifications. We currently do not provide housing, relocation, or transportation reimbursement
  • Interns are not eligible for company benefits

  • Fall: Sept 7 – Dec 11
