Vectorworks, Inc. is looking for a Senior Human Resources Specialist who can support the people management programs that underpin the company culture. It supports the people talent located in our offices within and beyond the borders of the United States.  The Senior Human Resources Specialist will act as the lead on the team in managing all HR related services to all of our internal customers.  Benefit administration, onboarding and exits, training and development, performance management, amongst others, are examples of some of the areas of responsibility in this role.

In this role, you should expect to: 


  • Lead in the onboarding process of new team members
  • Maintain the HRIS for data management and reporting purposes
  • Daily benefit administration to include claims resolution; organizing open enrollment and benefit related information meetings; communicating benefit information to employees
  • Handle benefit related reporting and compliance, including OSHA and workers comp
  • Lead in affirmative action program efforts
  • Lead in the management of data management, employment files, immigration files, etc.
  • Lead in the management of all administrative duties; calendars, organization charts, credit card reconciliation, etc.
  • Lead in the administration of HR programs: health and wellness program, community service program, employee training programs, etc.
  • Assist with the oversight of employee performance management; performance improvement plans, corrective actions, etc.
  • Assist with the employee exit process
  • Assist with payroll processing
  • Lead team members to ensure the timely delivery of quality service. Practice efficient processes to maximize work productivity. Provide the tools, resources and guidance to support team members’ growth and professional development

International Human Resources


  • Partner closely with the leadership team to deliver on the global people strategy and operational plan
  • Facilitate the startup process of international offices with regards to HR matters
  • Establish and maintain a working relationship with HR service providers with whom we partner with for guidance and support in each respective country
  • Assist with the execution of full life-cycle international recruiting
  • Assist in immigration matters to ensure all employees have current work authorization
  • Serve as a point of contact for the people talent based off-site to ensure the support they receive is up to company standards – streamlined and timely
  • Ensure all legal documents including the employee manual, employment agreements, service agreements, etc., adhere to legal requirements

Why do we want you? Because you have:


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a human resources office required
  • Minimum of 5 years of human resources practices, laws and regulations working experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience handling international matters related to employment, benefits, human resources practices, laws, etc.
  • Demonstrable progression in your human resources career
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20%


Extra credit:


  • Professional Human Resources Certification (PHR) a plus
