    Vectorworks, Inc. is adding an Account Associate - Direct Sales (Global) to our sales team!

     

    As an Account Associate (Direct Sales) you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment as you learn the ins and outs of the industries we serve; architecture, landscape, and entertainment design. The primary responsibility in this position is to present our line of Vectorworks products to existing and prospective customers on a global scale.

    Responsibilities

    In this role, you should expect to:

    • Acquire a deep understanding of Vectorworks and be able to present our company and product stories to prospective partners
    • Conduct routine tele-sales calls and email outreach following established procedures and guidelines
    • Identify potential clients and decision makers within the organization and educate them on value of our CAD/BIM software
    • Conduct outreach to international leads generated by the marketing department and other sources
    • Manage leads and schedule qualified product demonstrations with industry specialists in order to reach performance-based goals
    • Execute a minimum of 30 outbound calls/activities per day
    • Support academic initiatives by identifying colleges/universities who are willing to partner with Vectorworks and provide our software in their labs
    • Attend industry functions such as trade shows, meetings, and conferences. (Up to 10% travel may be required)
    • Conduct market, competitive, and industry research and analysis

     Why do we want you? Because you have:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
    • At least 3 years’ experience in direct sales or business development
    • Solid understanding of business concepts and the ability to quickly learn software & technology tools.
    • Thorough knowledge of sales principles, negotiating tactics, and international business etiquette
    • Experience with SAP, Salesforce, HubSpot or other database applications
    • Confidence presenting information over the phone to business decision makers.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • A hunter mentality and a competitive drive with a tenacious attitude.
    • The ability to take direction and work independently.

     Extra credit:

    • International experience preferred!
