    The copywriter should have the ability to produce self-generated content and will also implement edits to conform to style guidelines and align with brand strategies.

    Responsibilities

    In this role, you should expect to:

     

    • Research, outline, and write compelling copy for communications materials including, but not limited to: blogs, press releases, case studies, emails, web content, event-related promotional materials, launch materials, video headlines/text/captions, agendas/bios/flyers, blogs, various newsletters, advertisements, etc.  
    • Collaborate with social media and public relations efforts for consistency of message and scheduling of message delivery on multiple platforms; peer edit social and PR text, as requested
    • Provide editing services to internal clients and support international distributor efforts (such as with blogs, press releases, and/or MODUS magazine)
    • Conduct interviews for case studies, work with project managers and industry experts to formulate interview questions and focus, interview featured clients, articulate the client story within the construct of the PFAB (Problem, Feature, Advantage, Benefit) model to spell out results such as: ROI, workflow efficiency gains, ability to accomplish that which was not possible prior to VW technology, “switcher stories” etc.
    • Help develop and implement departmental procedures, styles, standards, and best practices, and participate in educating team members and ensuring their writing meets those guidelines
    • Collaborate with creative teams to collectively create/design copy that fits within the specific layout, complementary graphics, A/B testing scenarios, CTAs, etc.
    • Submit work for group review/approval, coordinate and implement edits, manage versioning, track status of work in progress, coordinate task handoff from iMeet to Trello (as applicable)
    • Prepare copy for release/publication (including hyperlinks, GA tagging, boilerplate text)
    • Track and report multiple task statuses and internal/external delivery dates, process CRs, contribute to team status report and various reports for executive needs on an ongoing basis
    • Other duties as assigned

    Why do we want you? Because you have:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, or a related field
    • 3+ years of experience in professional media, communications, marketing, and/or public relations
    • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words and proper use of grammar and punctuation
    • A compelling portfolio of work that demonstrates high quality within a variety of campaigns and projects
    • 3+ years of experience with WordPress, HubSpot, ProofHQ, iMeet Central, and Jira

    Extra credit:

    • Working knowledge of web writing tactics and SEO
    • Working knowledge of social media platforms and branding using those platforms
    • Familiar with Google analytics
    • Familiar with key Vectorworks features and concepts is a plus!
