    The Director is responsible for the development, packaging, or repurposing of assets to support various programs, such as demand generation, public relations, sales enablement, customer acquisition, customer retention, and product evangelism. This person collaborates with internal teams and external resources to tell compelling stories across multiple platforms, as well as champions content that is desirable, discoverable, and sharable.

    Responsibilities

    In this role, you should expect to:

    • Mentor, inspire, and lead a team of talented PR, media, communications, and content professionals.
    • Plan, develop, execute, and optimize content strategies.
    • Document our brand voice and messaging on an on-going basis and educate employees/ensure adherence to establish a consistent voice for all content.
    • Develop content in conjunction with Product Marketing, Marketing, Creative, and R&D teams to support marketing campaigns, and product messaging for all Vectorworks products, services, and partner solutions.
    • Create content in conjunction with Sales and Product Marketing teams for sales and prospect pitches, presentations, and customer-facing newsletters.
    • Conduct regular content inventories and audits.
    • Develop successful strategies for media relations and overall public relations.
    • Develop and communicate content standards, project scopes, schedules, and road maps that enable the creation of high-quality content that drives engagement and conversions.
    • Identify and work with third parties, such as community partners, academics, and bloggers, to utilize existing content and produce new content.
    • Ensure all content promotion activities are coordinated across channels including social, email, and PR.
    • Support the communications needs of internal clients in collaboration with all teams in the marketing department.
    • Travel up to approximately 10 - 15% subject to change based on company needs.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • A Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism or comparable disciplines is required. Master’s degree in similar fields is preferred.
    • 8 - 12 years of experience as a leader in multichannel content creation, including 3 - 4 years of experience in leading or driving content efforts.
    • Content strategy experience across a variety of industries, business functions, and organization types.
    • An understanding of marketing and business strategy.
    • Deep working knowledge of user-centered design.
    • An understanding of content delivery, management, and retrieval systems.
    • Experience championing content strategy best practices, principles, and methodology.
    • A track record of leadership, innovation, and positive influence on your teams and clients.
    • Experience with project management and marketing automation systems, and content creation technologies.

     Extra credit:

    •  Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
