    What's in it for you?


    We are searching for a results-driven regional sales team manager who will be responsible for the implementation and execution of Vectorworks product sales strategy for the regional sales teams to consistently and profitably grow sales each year.


    The regional sales manager will work directly with the Director of US Sales to identify the KPIs and team strategy. They will work closely with internal resources at our headquarters in Columbia to create and provide our outside sales team with the tools they need to be successful. The role will be responsible for creating and driving new business within the regional markets through smart prospecting and networking as well as working with each regional rep to develop a strategic territory plan, execute it against effective pipeline management and meet/exceed sales goals. The regional sales manager will be responsible for coaching the regional sales team to help them achieve their individual market goals.



    In this role, you should expect to:


    • Work with regional account reps to identify and qualify prospects that are candidates for Vectorworks offered technologies
    • Work with internal resources such as marketing, product marketing, engineering and design teams to develop resources to be used in the field
    • Partner with inside sales team to best service key prospects and accounts
    • Foster/enhance customer relationships as well as focus on further market penetration
    • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and other projections as required
    • Keep senior management informed of economic, competitive, and other factors affecting RAM regions with recommendations for improvements/changes
    • Participate and assist in national and local events/tradeshows
    • Contribute to regional marketing promotional and sales programs
    • Participate in the interview and recruit for open regional positions
    • Develop training for new staff
    • Guide regional account managers, to ensure effectiveness of cross selling products
    • Provide technical sales support which may include: collaborating with Vectorworks sales team and Industry Specialists to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions
    • Track the progress and performance of the regional accounts team
    • Work with local associations to build awareness
    • Work with the industry experts to establish presentations needs
    • Work with Sales Director to establish goals, and report on sales progress
    • Make recommendations on product enhancements
    • Work with the Sales Director to establish long and short-term sales strategies for an assigned region
    • Travel up to 50% of the time with Regional Account Managers to engage in coaching, prospecting and account management duties to help ensure the success of regional territories

    • A Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or equivalent amount of sales (software sales preferred) experience
    • Minimum of 5+ years of software sales experience
    • Demonstrated experience with or understanding of Architectural Design process required
    • Experience calling on designers, architects, engineers, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience providing technical sales support
    • Previous experience developing business relationships with customers
    • The ability to prioritize and work with deadlines
