Vectorworks is looking for a driven, experienced marketing professional to join our growing team! The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for supporting the marketing team, managing all marketing activities in his/her specified industry to meet organizational objectives, and mentoring junior team members. As a member of the marketing team, this position will work closely with the communications, graphics, sales, and product marketing teams.

Responsibilities

In this role, you should expect to:

  • Increase awareness and engagement with our brand and products by implementing targeted campaigns, and acting as project manager on a variety of simultaneous marketing programs to ensure the production of quality, branded deliverables
  • Become an expert in the specified industry and stay current with industry trends by immersing him/herself into industry events and publications to understand the wants and needs of our users, prospects, and sales team
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with industry influencers (including beta testers and Vectorworks power users) and become a knowledgeable asset and working partner for the product marketing team
  • Mentor junior staff: improve their marketing skills and provide ample opportunities to learn more about the design industry and marketing strategy best practices; teach them the processes and protocols involved in daily marketing operations, such as writing strong project plans, and utilizing the marketing automation, CRM, and project management systems currently in place
  • Assist in development of scalable, in-demand content that is timely and relevant to generate leads for both domestic and channel sales teams, I.e. nurturing campaigns
  • Responsible for tracking and analyzing marketing campaigns on a regular basis, while also providing recommendations for increasing effectiveness of these programs; master our marketing automation software to best analyze our customer's journey and the related nurturing campaigns.
  • Organize tradeshows and other live events to support sales and product marketing teams
  • Support PR initiatives and other misc. campaigns as assigned

Why do we want you? Because you have:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the software industry or industry-related field
  • Working knowledge of Net-Results and Salesforce or similar marketing automation and CRM systems
  • Experience organizing and managing tradeshows and/or live events
  • Experience with project management
  • Exceptional writing skills; confidence in developing marketing content (i.e. email marketing, direct mail, website content, advertising, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of HTML and Adobe Suite a plus, but not required
  • HubSpot Inbound Certification preferred
