    Vectorworks, Inc. seeks a Web Developer Intern (Front-End) to join our team for a dynamic internship opportunity for the summer 2018 semester. We're looking for an up-and-coming web developer who wants to gain real world experience working on web projects that support corporate marketing objectives.

     

    It's an exciting time to join the Vectorworks family, and we hope you'll take the time to learn more about our internship opportunities and working with our Marketing team in our Columbia, Maryland office.

    Responsibilities

    In this role, you should expect to:

     

    • Assist with the development of web content delivery services
    • Assist with customizations within content management frameworks
    • Help develop user interface features for web applications
    • Assist in testing web experiences across browsers to ensure a positive user experience
    • Maintain and update existing content on our websites

    Qualifications

    • A hard-working and dedicated college junior, senior, or recent graduate (no more than 6 months upon graduation) who is looking to gain valuable work experience in the field of web development and marketing
    • A self-starter with the ability to show initiative, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines

     

    Why do we want you? Because you have

     

    • Background in computer science, web development, design, or related field
    • Experience developing sites and applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    • Understanding of how to develop responsive websites
    • Knowledge of open source CMS packages (WordPress, Drupal or others)
    • Familiarity with Bootstrap and/or LESS is a plus
    • Experience in PHP is a plus
    • A positive attitude and willingness to work with the team to achieve departmental goals
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

     

    Eligibility requirements for internships:

     

    • Internships requires working a minimum of 16 hours per week with a maximum of 40 hours per week
    • You must be at least 18 years of age, enrolled in an undergraduate program entering your junior or senior year, enrolled in a graduate program, or a recent graduate (no more than 6 months upon graduation)
    • This is a paid internship and compensation will be based on applicant's qualifications. We currently do not provide housing, relocation, or transportation reimbursement
    • Interns are not eligible for company benefits

     

    2018 Internship sessions:

     

    • Summer: June 4 - Aug. 24
    • Fall: Sept. 10 - Dec. 14
